"Dr. Kelley Kenney’s professionalism, passion for the counseling and student affairs fields, as well as her dedication to students is inspiring. From the moment I stepped through the doors into my first class with her, I knew that she was going to expect academic and professional excellence while, at the same time, foster an environment that facilitates personal growth, independence, and initiative. She pushed me to understand the material, challenged me to immerse myself in the profession, to think critically but objectively, and to never lose sight of my goals. She has supported me throughout these last three years, modeling how to make students her priority and, in the process, molded me into a student advocate and leader.
Also to Dr. Kenney’s credit, she encouraged me to attend the American Counseling Association’s national conference in the spring of 2009. Not only did this experience inspire me to excellence in the field, it also taught me how important networking and giving back to the profession will be for my career. Since that conference, I have attended four other student affairs and counseling associations’ conferences. At each gathering, I learned about the trends in the field, met many like-minded professionals, and was then able to offer my reactions to these experiences for my peers in the classroom. Without Dr. Kenney's encouragement, I would not have completed this personal and professional transformation. She truly supports my goals, keeps me grounded, and advocates for my success."

"Quite frankly I would not be where I am today if it was not for APSCUF faculty, and the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. I am a product of PASSHE, and am incredibly proud of it. I graduated cum laude from Clarion University in 2008, and I am currently working towards my Masters Degree in Applied History at Shippensburg University. There were and are so many faculty members at both Clarion and Shippensburg who have inspired, challenged, and driven me to where I am, and it is because of them that I continue to set and achieve lofty goals.
In particular I am indebted to Dr. Kevan Yenerall, a political science professor from Clarion. Dr. Yenerall is not just a wonderful, insightful, and dedicated teacher, but a constant
inspiration to me, and a good friend. Without his careful guidance throughout my collegiate career, I do not think I would have made it. I certainly would not have gone on to graduate school. I am also indebted to the entire history and philosophy program at Shippensburg University. Their professors and staff treat students like colleagues, and having that type of relationship with a teacher has been extremely rewarding. I have been able to advance my own researching and analytical skills thanks to this relationship.
As I continue on with my education, and hope to one day move on towards a PhD, I keep the valuable life lessons I have learned from the APSCUF family with me each and every day. I
feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to earn my education alongside the best and brightest this state has to offer, and I would challenge anyone to show me a better example of higher education. For me it does not get any better, than the state schools of Pennsylvania, and the committed faculty, coaches, and staff of APSCUF."
"My name is Elyse Brunstetter and I just recently graduated from Kutztown University. Earlier in the semester I went for an interview at Lancaster Laboratories and will be starting May 16th, as a Chemist in the Environmental Department. Dr. Antoni encouraged me to put myself out there and apply to as many jobs and graduate programs as possible so that I would have somewhere to go after my undergrad at KU. I was a transfer student in the Spring semester of 2010 at KU from West Chester University and Dr. Antoni helped me get through my time here. She gave me guidance and advice when I needed it, and even when I didn't ask for it. She helped me become acclimated with the new environment and encouraged me to open up to students and professors to make the most of my limited time there. Needless to say, she was right. The more I opened up to faculty and other students, the more I was getting out of my education. She gave me experience that boosted my resume, fantastic recommendations that helped me get my job, advice that I will always keep with me, and showed me that students and faculty can be friends. She's been like a mother away from home and has helped me through some tough times without even knowing it. She's been part of the key support group that i have at KU and I don't know what I would have done without her in my life. I feel that she has made a lasting impact on me and my life and I hope to continue to stay in touch with not only her, but some of my other professors as well. They have all helped me make my mark at KU and I am forever indebted for that."

"Words cannot express the gratitude I have towards the staff of Kutztown University. My professors have given me the educational and professional skills needed to achieve my greatest goal in life: get my first job! I recently graduated cum laude with a degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Geography. Without the APSCUF staff, I would not have had the connections or skills to gain my first job, which will be with a wetland restoration company, and start a successful career.
Two of my professors that have especially helped me achieve this goal are Dr. Allison Roy and Dr. Jacob Sewall. Both professors helped guide me in making important decisions regarding my future. Dr. Sewall provided me the opportunity to work on a research project with him and another student. He also gave me important guidance when applying to graduate school and directed me on the proper things to do. I am especially indebted to Dr. Roy. She went above and beyond her duties as my Senior Seminar professor in helping me make my resume perfect and took time out of her schedule to contact the company that eventually ended up hiring me. Without her support and guidance I would definitely not have been able to achieve my ultimate goals.
I can honestly say that I have never had a negative experience with any of my professors at Kutztown. Every member of the APSCUF staff has never denied me help and they truly want their students to succeed in life and achieve their life goals. They have truly taught me so much and I am forever grateful.
